Johnny Schou - Died 7-1-2008 in Fort Collins, Colorado, U.S. - Heroin overdose ( Rock ) He was 22 years old - Bassist and guitarist - Was a member of Tickle Me Pink (They did, "Typical" and "Madeline").

Rodney Tyrone Jennings Jr. - Died 7-1-2008 - Shot - He was 21 years old - Drummer and producer - Formed Rod Productions and Anotha Level Records.

Jerry Ritchie - Died 7-1-2008 in Nesbit, MS, U.S. - Cancer ( Gospel ) Singer - Was a member of Gold City (They did, "I Think I'll Read It Again" and "No Other Word For Grace But Amazing").

Russ Sankey (Russell Frederick Sankey) - Died 7-1-2008 - Complications of cancer ( Rock ) Born 4-22-1949 - Guitarist - Was a member of Reign (They did, "Sea Of Dreams").

Tommy Milburn - Died 7-1-2008 - After after falling through a skylight of a restaurant ( Rock ) He was 20 years old - Drummer - Worked with The SSRIs.

Natasha Shneider - Died 7-2-2008 - Cancer ( Rock ) Born 5-22-1956 in Moscow, Russia - Singer, bassist and keyboardist - (She did, "Who's In Control") - Was a member of Walk The Moon and  Eleven (They did, "Reach Out" and "All My Friends") - Worked with Queens Of The Stone Age and Chris Cornell.

Paul Varley - Died 7-2-2008 in London England - Pneumonia ( Rock ) Born 5-24-1949 in Preston, Lancashire, England - Drummer - Worked with Purple Haze which became Little Free Rock, Ginger Johnson's African Drums, Streak (They did, "Bang Bang Bullit"), The Arrows (They did, "Touch Too Much" and the original version of, "I Love Rock N Roll"), Darling, The Ruffians, Terry Reid and Paul Raymond.

Noel Sayre - Died 7-3-2008 in Portsmouth - Possible heart attack ( Classical - Rock - Folk ) He was 37 years old - Violinist - Worked with Pretty Mighty Mighty, The West Virginia Symphony, The Portsmouth Symphony and The Black Swans. (They did, "Fruitless Ways" and "Shake").

Mickey Brandon (M.C. Brandon) - Died 7-3-2008 in Chesterfield , MO, U.S. - Complications of diabetes and pneumonia ( Standards ) He was 83 years old - Born in St. Louis, MO, U.S. - Singer and actor - Worked with Tom Goldenberg.

Clive Hornby - Died 7-3-2008 in Leeds, England - Hypoxia ( Rock ) Born 10-20-1944 in Liverpool, England - Drummer and actor - Was a member of The Dennisons (They did, "Be My Girl" and "Walkin' The Dog") They appeared several times on the same bill with The Beatles at The Cavern Club - He played Jack Sugden on TV's, Emmerdale Farm.

Oliver Schroer - Died 7-3-2008 in Toronto, Canada - Leukemia ( Folk ) Played fiddle - Worked with Sylvia Tyson,  Jimmy Webb, Barry Mann, Jesse Cook, Don Ross, Loreena McKennitt, James Keelaghan, Spirit Of The West and Great Big Sea.

Colin Cooper (Colin Francis Richard Cooper) - Died 7-3-2008 in Stafford, Staffordshire, UK - Cancer - Born 10-7-1939 Stafford, Staffordshire, UK - Singer, saxophonist and guitarist - Was a member of The Climax Chicago Blues Band which became The Climax Blues Band (They did, "Couldn't Get It Right" and "I Love You").

David Kahn - Died 7-3-2008 in Woodland Hills, CA, U.S. - He was 98 years old - Saxophonist, singer, composer and arranger - Wrote the theme for TV's, Leave It To Beaver and sang on TV's, The Addams Family Theme - Composed music for Mr. Ed, Petticoat Junction, Green Acres and The Beverly Hillbillies.

Bishop Charles Craig III - Died 7-5-2008 - Heart attack ( Gospel ) He was 60 years old - Singer - Was a member of The Voices Of Tabernacle - Worked with The Temptations, Stevie Wonder and Marvin Gaye.

David Contreras (aka Youngblood, Xavier and Damon) - Died 7-5-2008 in New York, NY, U.S. - Possibly by internal bleeding ( Rock ) Born 7-14-1944 in AZ or NM, U.S. - Guitarist - Was a member of The Magic Tramps (They did, "Hey People" and "Smoke & Mirrors") who also used the names Messiah and Star Theater.

Karel Hala - Mr. Swing - Died 7-6-2008 in Prague, Czech Republic - Head injury from a fall down the stairs ( Swing ) Born 10-3-1933 in Hradec Kralove, Czechoslovakia - Singer and actor - (He did, "Dej mi par okovu", "Hadej, Matyldo" and "Split").

Ramey Reeves - Died 7-9-2008 in Mount Pleasant - Brain cancer ( Gospel ) She was 33 years old - Singer - (She did, "Praise" and "Way Up Yonder").

Dr. Michael B. Gregg - Died 7-9-2008 - Congestive heart failure ( Jazz ) Born 1-6-1930 in Paris - Drummer - Was a member of The West River Wildcats.

Wayne Campbell (Calvin Wayne Campbell) - Died 7-9-2008 - Lung cancer ( Country ) Born 10-21-1938 in Lynchburg - Singer, songwriter and guitarist - (He did, "Nighttime Rose" and "Time's Been Good To Me") - Co-wrote Allison Krauss's, "Steel Rails".

 Bill Ector - Died 7-9-2008 in Marietta - Brain tumor ( Rock ) He was 56 years old - Played guitar, bass and keyboards - Publisher of Hittin' The Note, a magazine dedicated to The Allman Brothers who he once played bass on stage with - Worked with Donna Hopkins.

Roy Thompson (Roy Wayne Thompson) - Died 7-10-2008 - After surgery ( Gospel ) He was 72 years old  - Singer - Was a member of The Canterbury Four.

Danny Young (aka the Mayor of South Austin) - Died 8-20-2008 in South Austin, TX, U.S. - Heart attack ( Honky Tonk - Conjunto - Zydeco ) He was 67 years old - Born in Defiance, Ohio, U.S. - Played rub board - Worked with Cornell Hurd and Ponty Bone.

Phil Guy - Died 8-20-2008 in Chicago Heights, Ill., U.S. - Complications of prostate cancer ( Blues ) Born 4-28-1940 in Lettsworth, LA, U.S. - Singer and guitarist - (He did, "Last Of The Blues Singers") - Worked with his brother, Buddy Guy and with Big Poppa And The Country Boys, Junior Wells, Slim Harpo and Raful Neal.

Little Arthur Duncan - Died 8-20-2008 in  Northlake, IL, U.S. - Complications from brain surgery ( Blues ) Born 2-5-1934 in Indianola, Miss., U.S. - Played  harmonica and sang - Was a member of The Backscratchers - Worked with Twist Turner, Illinois Slim and Rick Kreher.

Buddy Harman (Murrey Mizell Harman Jr.) - Died 8-21-2008 - Congestive heart failure ( Country ) He was 79 years old - Drummer - Worked with Elvis Presley ("Little Sister"),  Perry Como, Merle Haggard, Reba McEntire, Patsy Cline ("Crazy"), Roy Orbison ("Pretty Woman"), Connie Francis,, Johnny Cash ("Ring Of Fire"),  Dolly Parton, Brenda Lee, Tammy Wynette ("Stand By Your Man"), Ray Price and many others - Was the first staff drummer for The Grand Ole Opry - Performed for John F. Kennedy, Gerald Ford, Jimmy Carter and Ronald Reagan - He can be heard on over 18,000 recordings.

Doris May Ueberroth Smith (Doris May Mossing) - Died 8-21-2008 in Perrysburg Township, Ohio, U.S. - Complications from pancreatic cancer - Born 1-25-1925 in Toledo, Ohio, U.S. - Was a director and member of The Kitchenettes, a comedic kazoo band which also played homemade instruments - They formed in 1958.

Jerry Finn - Died 8-21-2008 - Due to a brain hemorrhage he suffered in July - He was 39 years old - Producer - Worked with The Offspring, AFI,  Morrissey, Bad Religion, Blink-182, Sparta, Smoking Popes, Alkaline Trio, Tiger Army, The Muffs, MxPx, Rancid, Pennywise, Green Day and Sum 41.

Gini Northup (Virginia Schiller Northup) - Died 8-22-2008 - Blood clot ( Blues - Rock ) She was 45 years old - Singer and keyboardist - Was a member of The Boilermakers and Two For The Show with her husband, Jerry Northup and also was a member of Passion Play and Girls Night Out.
